TESTIMONIALS

Critical Thinking

"I have observed that my son's confidence level has tremendously improved, he's more receptive to feedback, he seems no longer afraid to try out new things and is generally more responsible, more helpful. In terms of school work, his grades have improved and he's become more self managing of his schoolwork. He seems more focused and is now working on a clear goal of where he wants to move to next in his academic life. Nova's approach to teaching is effective and relevant, not only focused on academics alone but takes on a holistic approach as it develops a child's character." - Esther, Nova Academies Camp Parent

Our Mission

At Nova Academies, we prepare our youth to be the future innovators and leaders of Africa.

Nova Academies is a private boarding school that prepares young men and young women to excel both academically and professionally. We have three campuses in South Africa, and one in Nairobi. We are opening our second campus in Nairobi in January of 2017 that will be an all girls secondary school. Using the 8-4-4 curriculum combined with the best international training, we deliver a truly world-class educational experience with exciting opportunities to learn and grow both inside and outside of the classroom. Nova students learn to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop solutions using technology and engineering skills.

At Nova Academies, we empower all of our students to achieve their personal potential by building their confidence, sharpening their intellectual abilities, and inspiring them to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the world.

Our Curriculum

Nova Academies will follow the 8-4-4 curriculum, integrating the best of Kenyan and International educational expertise. We will ensure that our students score top KCSE marks thanks to our team’s experience at Alliance and other top schools. But we know that exam performance is not enough for children to succeed in their post-secondary life. To prepare students for success in the 21st century, our curriculum places a strong emphasis on science and technology, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and creativity in each of our students.

Practical & Project Based

21st Century Skills

At Nova Academies, we focus on training our students for success in the 21st century. That means making sure that they are constantly learning through the latest technology. However, we don’t stop there. Nova students don’t just learn how to use technology, they learn how to design and build it themselves. Nova students learn the principles behind innovation, and put those skills to use through our project-based methodology to solve real-world problems. Our laboratories and maker space are equipped with the latest in science and technology, including 3D printers where students can create and fabricate their own inventions.

Athletics

At Nova Academies, our approach to education extends beyond the classroom. We believe in developing the whole person, and make sure that our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of athletic activities.

Nova students will have the opportunity to participate in several team sports. At Nova Academies, we believe that sports are a place to develop teamwork skills, friendships, and character. All of our students will have the opportunity to play, and the school will have access to excellent facilities.
